Hong Kong Sevens 2023: kick-off times, schedule, results, scores, TV info, tickets all you need
Mini rugby starts the proceedings from 8.20am to 9.55am, followed by junior matches until noon.
Then the women’s France versus Japan clash gets the Sevens proper under way at 12.16pm. The day ends at 9pm.
Day 1 highlights
Hong Kong’s women face New Zealand at 2.16pm and Canada at 5.52pm. The evening builds to the first appearance by the city’s men, who close the first day when they take on France at 8.33pm.
Before that, Fiji versus Samoa at 3.28pm looks unmissable. All eyes are on traditional favourites the Fijians, beaten by Australia in a dramatic end to the 2022 final.
Entertainment-wise, the opening ceremony at 6.36pm will feature Joyce Cheng and the Chris Polanco Band.

Hong Kong Sevens tickets
Weekend Sevens tickets are available from the official HKRU ticketing platform.
Prices have been frozen at 2019 levels, with a three-day pass costing HK$1,950 for adults and HK$950 for children aged 12 and under.
Limited numbers of day passes have also been on sale via Klook.

Travelling from abroad?
Fans need no longer complete quarantine on arrival, nor will they be barred (as they risked being in November) from entry to the stadium for having the wrong health status.
Travellers are advised to check Hong Kong’s general border entry requirements.
